With minor alterations, it fit perfectly. I accessorized with a pair of sparkly rose-gold heels from Dillard’s and gold jewelry from Kendra Scott and Tiffany & Co.

(Above) After Eid prayers are finished, everyone goes outside and wishes, "Eid Mubarak" or, "Happy Eid" to each other. This is where Muslims are able to meet with their friends and celebrate Eid together. At my local mosque, after Eid prayers occur, there are usually tons of food and treats outside. There is also toys and games children can buy, and that is when I go home and we give each other Eidi, or money, as a gift. According to bbcgoodfood.com, "Eid is all about feasting since it comes after a month of fasting (Muslims are not permitted to fast on this day). Whilst there is no set menu for what should be on the table, dishes prepared are always rich and decadent."

The Hawaiian prints are reminiscent of vintage surf art and Hawaiian travel bringing a nostalgic aesthetic to their outfits. Hawaiian patterns are inspired by plumeria, palm trees, and ocean life.

(Above) Ms. Lynn Stewart helps organize the annual college fair hosted at Lake Highland Preparatory School. This event allows Central Florida students to come and learn about a variety of different colleges coming from all over the country and even beyond. From local schools like Rollins College and the University of Central Florida, to farther schools like Ohio University, Vanderbilt University, and Southern Methodist University, students have the opportunity to ask questions to the admissions representatives to get a better feel for the school, from basic questions like, “What makes your school special?” to more specific questions like, “What is campus life like?”.

(Above) This art piece is called Autumn Vines and shows Louis Comfort Tiffany’s view of the beauty of nature. The green colored glass pieces are supposed to represent bushes and vines, while the other colors are different types of flowers, fruits, and vegetables. Louis Comfort Tiffany’s goal for this piece was to show the visitors the full and best view of nature. The statue behind the door panels is supposed to represent the perspective of walking through that beauty of nature and how nothing is holding back that beauty.

He has enjoyed the campus so far and has noticed how Lake Highland’s, “Vibe is more upbeat” and, “Also, the facilities here are top-notch.” He also claims that his favorite part about Lake Highland is how welcoming everyone is, including faculty and students. The main thing he appreciates is how everyone in the Lake Highland community is always there for each other and has everyone’s back. This has helped him feel supported in his journey as he navigates his way through Lake Highland.

(Above) Bok Tower Gardens rings its daily carillon, a percussion instrument with a keyboard that sits at the top of the tower. A professional plays the carillon every hour, signaling the time of day. Bok Tower Gardens offers beautiful places to walk, including a playground structured children’s garden and a wild garden teeming with rabbits and flowers that are native to Florida. It also has a vegetable garden with beds of carrots and fennel.

People would eat fatty foods on the day before Lent to use them up before the fasting began. It was brought to America by French settlers, and overtime became a big festival. Today, Mardi Gras is known for its grand celebrations, especially in New Orleans, and is a huge event before Lent begins.

Wrestler Ronin Gault, grade 11, mentions that, “Most of the team does their work after morning practice” which is an efficient way he makes sure he never falls behind in schoolwork. Their team tends to help each other and keep each other accountable with work.

(Above) Eadyn Rivera, grade 10, worked on practicing her free throws during the offseason and quickly has become one of the teams best free throw shooters. Making Eadyn more of an offensive weapon with many teams having to foul her to prevent her from making her three point shots, and tough layups in the paint. As one of the leaders on the team Eadyn also makes sure her team is prepared to grab the rebound and set up a new offensive play.

(Above) Beck Tews, grade 11, demonstrates how he does his backhand while instructing the athletes on how to get the perfect form. Tews said, “I enjoy teaching tennis to the younger kids at LHP. It’s always good to show the kids new skills and making them try something new. So in the future, hopefully they will stick with it and love it as much as I do.” After talking to the athletes they started to follow his instructions after watching an example of what to copy. With more practice the athletes began to finally under- stand the importance of coordination whether it is playing together or just practicing by themselves. Learning with a bounce drop from the coaches, which is thrown directly in front of them for practice to be able to start their warm ups and get ready for the rest of practice.

Clothing items extended from shirts, sweatpants, flip flops, and many other kinds of sizes of clothes. Evan stated, “The event itself was both a huge success and a blast. I enjoyed watching both my fellow teachers and friends compete with each other to see who could fill the most bags out of everyone.” Evan, getting into specific detail, mentioned “Most of the articles of clothing and hygiene products were purchased from Dollar Tree. This was the best place to buy the items and make sure that I had enough.”

(Above) Down in Kissimmee at Old Town they host car shows weekly. They have free parking convenient for its attendants and a lot of shops that people can look to explore. Old Town offers multiple different tourist attractions such as Funspot America, t-shirt shops with Republican slogans, haunted houses, burger joints, and a variety of other food places. For a town being a recreation of an old Floridian town they have had quite the deal for parents and young ones to have fun. After nearly 35 years, Old Town has hosted many other car shows at the park while also hosting other events. Events such as Friday Night Muscle Car Show & Cruise, Saturday Night Classic Car Show & Cruise and other events like karaoke, Halloween, New Years Eve, and the 4th of July.

(Left) Prints in French fashion are fickle. One of the hallmarks of the style is its lack of color and patterns aside from a few exceptions, including, “toile.” Translat- ing to “canvas,” the toile pattern features almost storybook scenes amidst a beige background. It initially gained popularity back in the 18th century during the age of realism when people desired art to reflect everyday life but has remained popu- lar throughout the years. To pay homage to the print, Dior Homme’s 2022/2023 Paris Fashion Week show included a collection based upon the toile print and offered a modern alternative. This runway show, especially because behind it sat replicas of Paris’s iconic monuments, proves the longevity of French fashion that makes it so alluring.
