(Above) Sushi, traditionally a Japanese dish, is enjoyed all over the world. Because of the range of flavors that hit your taste buds from the cold sauce, raw fish, sticky rice, and more, it is one of my favorite types of foods to eat. At the Green Coast Resort, located in Albania, this is one of the dishes they serve. From Turkish and American to Albanian and Japanese, these offered cuisines are high in quality, and indescribable in taste.
The Twice-Told Tale staff brings a variety of dishes to the table. Various staff members have specifically selected each dish based on personal preference. Dive into a menu specifically cooked for each reader to have the perfect taste of a multitude of foods.
(Above) Vietnamese pho initially spread to the United States following the Vietnam War. However, it was not until the 1990s when a focus on healthier and more balanced diets, accompanied by many Vietnamese immigrants, produced pho restaurants that began popping up in America, primarily in California. Now, pho can be found in nearly all metropolitan areas, such as Orlando’s Mills50 District. The host, a good friend of the bride, hired a private chef to put together the entire event’s menu which was enjoyed by many. The bride-to-be was most impressed by the salami roses and cheese letters. She expressed that she, “Couldn’t be more grateful” for her friends and family who put together the fun day celebrating her upcoming marriage, and for the chef’s, “Incredibly delicious food.” (Minaal Arain)(Above) Going vegan has been increasing in popularity over the recent years with supporters praising its health benefits, ethical standards, and contribution to the environment. This handmade cassava tortilla, made from yuca roots, sandwiches vegan cheddar cheese inside. The vegan cheese brand Violife is known for making uncanny vegan cheeses that have the same taste and cheese-pull texture as one made from cow’s milk. In the middle of the plate is a sun-dried tomato garlic spread garnished with sunflower sprouts. The entire setup is designed for a satisfying and healthy meal. CFS Coffee Shop is known for their beautiful, authentic coffee cups and plates that are made in Latin America, and are available to buy in their stores. Out of the many delicious options, the Rainbow Lavender Latte, has an amazingly unique lavender flavor that pairs so well with their strong coffee. What makes this coffee so special is their gorgeous latte art that design on the coffee. (Savannah Fondo)(Above) Pineapple and watermelon are part of the top ten sweetest fruits in the world. Both are perfect for hot summer days or tropical vacations. These fruits are high in vitamin C and contain helpful electrolytes. The sugary, juicy flavor in combination with the additional health benefits makes these fruits my favorite satisfactory snack. (Tessa Guerra)(Above) Since as early as I can remember, my mom’s chicken and rice has always been my favorite, most comforting meal. When visiting her home country, Albania, we always make sure to get authentic Albanian style chicken and rice, or pilaf the pulë. In Tirena, the capital of Albania, they have many restaurants that serve this Adish and make sure to keep the rice buttery and the chicken crispy. Though it may sound bland, this chicken and rice was very flavorful and satisfactory. (Tessa Guerra)(Above) Dave’s Hot Chicken in the Altamonte Springs area has the unique identity of having both savory and delicious chicken. The chicken itself is moist and is not anywhere near dry. It’s also an added delight to get a milkshake. (Zane Rimes)(Above) There’s nothing quite like leftovers for lunch. The night before, my family and I decided to visit the Cheesecake Factory for dinner to make use of our stack of restaurant gift cards. Out of the 250 items on the menu, the “Tomato Basil Pasta” caught my eye for its grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, and tomato sauce. As it is only served as a full-portion entrée, I had plenty to take home with me to enjoy for lunch the next day. (Alyssa Wiboon)
